Who are the Disciples?
The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is a protestant community that began in the United States two centuries ago. We bear the similarities to the faith and practice of traditional Christian communities.
Weekly Lord's Supper, believer's baptism, and a commitment to the unity of all Christians are important to us as a community. We are actively involved in social justice and in honoring the dignity of all persons.
The Chalice is a symbol of the central place of communion in worship for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The X-shaped cross of the disciple Andrew is a reminder of the ministry of each person and the importance of evangelism. The tip or angle of the cup represents the active and accepting aspect of our congregation.
