This will be a similar format to our Advent study, beginning with a simple meal prepared by different volunteers each week. I’ll take the first Sunday and ask for volunteers at that time for future weeks. The study will continue for the 6 Sundays of Lent, wrapping up on March 25th, Palm Sunday. Disciples ordained Minister & author Martha Grace (Gay) Reese directed the Lilly Endowment-funded Mainline Evangelism Project that resulted in this book, Unbinding the Gospel: Real Life Evangelism published in 2008 and subsequent Unbinding books in the series. We’ll explore the truth of the “dreaded E-word”, remove the stigma of door-to-door tracts, and get to the foundation of what evangelism really is – faith-sharing – and how we are called to share our faith in ways that transforms real lives.
