Childrens
Ministry

A welcoming nursery with excellent child care is available during
the 8:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sunday worships. Our aim is to offer a safe,
loving environment.

Elementary education is provided by the La Luz program. La
Luz is based on the innovative Workshop Rotation Model, which has been successful
in Churches across the country. Current workshop spaces include: the La Luz
Stage (Drama), the La Luz Art Studio, the La Luz Café (Cooking), the
La Luz Science Center, Computer, and The Gathering Place (Bible Knowledge/Video).
Additional workshops being planned are: Music and Movement, Storytelling,
Video Production/TV Station and Game workshops.

The La Luz Music Program, for children age 4 through 5th grade, rehearses
in the children's music room on Sundays and sings or participates in worship
from time to time. This group also uses musical instruments and enjoys fun
activities together.

Pastor’s Classes are held each year during the weeks before Easter.
These classes, preparing for confession of faith, baptism, and church membership,
are led by the Sr. Minister and Minister of Education for children (primarily
grades 4 through 6).

Summer Camps for children include a
New Beginnnings Camp for grades 1 and 2 and Jr. Camp for grades 3 though
5. Scholarships are available to active church participants.

Intergenerational activities and summer events are offered as announced.
